The books are from the International Correspondence School and were printed in London. They were hand carried from Scotland in 1920. There is minor damage to one of the bindings other than that they are in amazing condition. I have about 6 volumes and they are out of order. What can I do with them?

Take the books to a specialist antique book dealer, or auction house that deals with Antique books. Most good organisations will offer to appraise them for you. Stanley Gibbons Ltd - known for stamp collections, also now look into other antique goods is a good starting point. Try researching options on the Web.

if you type the title into ebay they are almost sure to be listed, if not just google them. for exmple: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=International+Correspondence+School&_sacat=0&_odkw=%22http+openlibrary+org+search+author+key+OL159190A+first+publish+year+1908+subject+facet+Accessibl%22&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313 http://openlibrary.org/search?author_key=OL159190A&first_publish_year=1908& subject_facet=Accessible+book Not difficult at all!

Ffion, Alex has a good idea there. You can also start at the library. I bet they can give you some great information on where to take them. Be careful of antique dealers though. They simply buy antiques and sell them at a higher price, and really know nothing about their true value. PJ M
