Are the Muslims that live in America betraying their muslim roots?
I was just wondering if the Muslims that live here are supportive of America or why they are even here if they hate America so much. If muslims are living in America then don't they feel guilty about it?

"Hating America" is too broad a phrase. I would say that the majority just hate the American government, not the country itself.

Believe it or not, there was Muslims before there was America around to hate. The guy who blew up the Oklahoma Fed building was a Christian. Do Christians believe they are betraying their roots?

not only usa government . i hate all of american system but usa government is not the only government that muslims hate. because generally governments are established with the permission of usa and this results we hate from most of the governments ,including the governments in muslim countries

l have no guilt for living here. l was born and raised in New York and am the only Muslim in my family.

There is no concept of "muslim roots" that differs from anything now. Islam is Islam... the roots of Islam are the Qur'an and the Hadiths. I think you're talking about tribalism and schools of thought that originate in their respective countries. Those who hate America and hate, period, aren't being true Muslims according to the Qur'an and examples set by the prophet Muhammad (SAAW) and trust me, there are a lot of them. A good book to open your eyes on the "ugly": "The Muslim Mafia". People are people first. If they're going to be virtuous and do virtuous deeds, then they'll do them no matter what religion or philosophy they claim. _()_

Hi Sweetie be it known that we do have radical beliefs in this country! knowing this the true muslims may be here fore a better life! just as we have KKK Skin heads and so on they have there radicals! If anything they are probably scared as much as most Americas. THAT IS THE AMERICAN MUSLIMS!

There are heaps of American Muslims who were born and bred there. They consider themselves American and are offended when people say 'go back to your own country' because that is their country. But yes, i agree with you. If some Muslims don't like the Western countries that they live in, then they should move.

I was born near NYC and am Muslim...and no I do not feel like I am betraying my Muslim roots by living here and I do not feel guilty either. I will say that I disagree one certain parts of US foreign policy, while I agree with others. I don't know if you would consider that "betraying" but I certainly. Peace.
