If I live in America how can I become a Canadian citizen?
I live a few hours from Canada and have been there once for a few days of outdoor adventures. Anyway, sometimes I am just embarrassed to be an American and envy countries like Canada. I think one day I would like to move to Canada permanently. Is this possible?

I've investigated this, and it's not easy. Once you apply to be in Canada, you have 3 years to apply for citizenship, and at that point, you must denounce citizenship elsewhere. In other words, you cannot be both a US citizen and a Canadian citizen, which at one time, was allowed.

Yes but Canada, Mexico and the US have already signed the North American Union linking the three countries together. Opening the boarders (divide and conker), doing away with the dollar and sovereignty. The new money is to be called the newmero! And most Americans haven't heard of this new treaty, they have already started building a new super highway from Mexico all the way up through Canada.

Sure - just follow the below instructions. And it is currently taking 2 years to be processed from Buffalo. You need to have at least 1 years work experience in your chosen field before you can apply. 4 years is better - gives you more points. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp You must meet the following minimum requirements to apply as a skilled worker: You have at least one continuous year of full-time, paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time continuous employment. Your work experience must be Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC). You must have had this experience within the last 10 years. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/noc.asp NOC list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp assessment test - you must get 67 points to qualify. If you marry a Canadians JUST to get PR then you will probably be denied. You do have to explain every little detail of your marriage (except the bedroom stuff of course). how you met, where you went for dates, how you lived ion canada on a visitor visa with no income, etc etc, and you must send photos.
