The truth? Ha lol ok here goes.. Citizens: arrogant, racist or ignorant. Obama: A tryer 'but can he meet those expectations'.. I just got that from the daily mail (our Uk version).. vvvv below me is completely right.. he is HUGE in the Uk & Ireland but the citizens are not.

Irish person here - He's got a huge following here. Just got sent this from a friend (also irish) http://www.congratulatebarack.com and just left my congrats message. His victory has put some renewed confidence in the future of world economies. He will prove very popular internationally.

After living in Germany for awhile, I found that these people constantly hated on America, they call us "Ami's" LOL. We are snobs, spoiled, unworldly, hateful, greedy, intolerant, unoirginal, and ignorant. But, they pretty much only listen to our music, watch our movies, watch all of our TV shows, travel constantly to our country, speak English, and they all want to go to our universities, and come here for work. Do you know why? Because in Germany their unemployment is so high, the social benefits are so great, why get a job? This social net was delivered in a pretty package by the US in the form of moneys and prtoections post Cold War and since the fall of the wall. This is a social democratic society. Is this what we want? Do you care what those types of countries really think?

Canadians love Obama because we are a country fairly liberal. We believe in 'live and let live' and that religion has no place in politics. You already know our reputation for being one of the best country to live in and I don't need to elaborate on our free health care, free education and low crime rate. Obama is inspiring himself with some of our programs so of course we think that's the way to go cause all Americans should be able to see a doctor and send their kids to college without taking a 2nd or 3rd mortgage.

I live in Mexico and have noticed that many Mexicans seem to evaluate a person partly on who they voted for in our election. Trust me, you get a lot of positive points if you support Obama. One store was offering a 10% discount if you voted for McCain and a 20% discount if you voted for Obama. A friend walked into a Guadalajara restaurant wearing an Obama t-shirt and people in the restaurant stood and cheered and shouted Obama, Obama . The hateful anti-immigration behavior in the US has not helped us down here at all, We are seeing a backlash of justified resentment.
