I have to do a essay for school about why we should be proud to live in America. Ideas? I already have because its a free country. But what else?

There's so much about America to be proud of. We have a long history of supporting freedom. Please don't let the actions and history of the republican party give you the wrong idea about America.

I'm sorry that you can't find it within yourself to express your pride in America without consulting strangers. THINK -- perhaps you are taking your country for granted and all that it offers you if you can't come up with your own reasons?

because we wiped out almost all of the native american race when we came to this country and snatched their land. Then when other immigrants come here, we hate them as if this was our country in the first place. Oh, and we go overseas and kill innocent woman and children. Go USA!

After all, the Spanish conquered what is now Latin America and did every bit as much raping and pillaging as occurred in the U.S. And Latin America has its own history of immigration, but you'd never know it from Latinos, since everyone is expected to assimilate to Latin culture, even the indigenous peoples. Latinos may not go overseas and kill innocent women and children, but they do come to the U.S.A. and do it, and they manage to do it in their homelands, too. Mexico being a case in point.
