Destin Flordia. It is the best place to live except it is becoming more populated, or daytona beach flordia, it is not to expensive and it has so much to do there.

There isn't really a place like that. If you forfeit winters, your cost of living goes way up. If you don't mind snow...it stays down. I suggest Denver....lived there for a long time and LOVED every minute of it. You have to like snow though. I live in California now, and although it's nice not having "winter"...the cost of living is waaaay to high. If you're willing to live inland a lot, cost of living does go down a bit, though.

Columbia, SC. I really like it here, but I'm not a cop.... don't know how much they make... but I love the climate, and I can deal with most of the people. Get sick of the little "gangsta wannabees" though... but they are everywhere these days. Cost of living is not too bad, although it is rising like everywhere else I'm sure! We can always use another good cop, so come on! edit: Don't forget we are only a couple of hours away from the beach too!!! Woo-Hoo!!!

California! Look up Torrance. It is so cute here and it is close to the freeway....not too far and not too close to the beach...has Disneyland...Sough Torrance High and West Torrance High are great.....hot summers.....jacket long sleeve winters......Torrance is not too far and not too close to LA, San Diego, Hollywood, and everywhere! Long Beach is the main beach and Torrance lives near by it! Not ghetto

Florida inland as the hurricanes aren't as bad in those areas but the weather is mild and cost of living is low. This also means the jobs are difficult to get and schools are not the greatest. Remember the cost of living goes down but so do school quality and jobs. Do not go too far south or too close to major cities like Orlando, Orange County or Miami as police are very busy in those areas, unsure what they pay in those areas.

I would say check out either North/South Carolina. They have mild winters and plenty of sunshine. As for hurricanes, no east coast state is completely immune to hurricanes, but you can count out tsunamis. Charleston is an up and coming city with lots of growth potential so that could be a start. Housing is relatively inexpensive compared to some of the bigger east coast cities. As for law enforcement you could most likely Google that.

oregon is the best place to live. there are no taxes, plenty of jobs, and the perfect weather. if u want cold and snowy and rocky, theres mount hood. if you want hot, theres the eastern part of oregon where its always hot and cali just a few hours away. cali is always fun to vacation in during the summer and you can just take the car. if u want the beach, theres seaside and cannon beach[really pretty by the way] the people in oregon are also super nice. the best cities to live in oregon would probably be somewhere by portland and beaverton. its a really nice place. (:

SF-California, cost of living is pretty high, but then again minimum wage is higher than other places, not much dangers of anything here, no like tsunamis or anything but it is earthquake country. But earthquakes are predictable so its all good. There are lots of cops in sf because its kind of ghetto, it's not very hot here but its not super cold here either.

Try Irvine, California. The cost of living is low, its about an hour east of Newport Beach, the cops make more than $150,000 a year, and the coldest it is in the winter is 45 degrees, and gets up to 85 degrees in the summer. I know you said not California, but in Irvine, the cost of living isn't that bad. Good luck on finding a new home! :]

Oregon, i live in southern oregon and the winters normally arent that bad, warm and beautiful summers, never any hurricanes, tsunami's or tornadoes. no quakes, few forest fires, if any happen, we're on them like white on rice! NO TAX!! rent for your average 3 bedroom 2 bath home ranges from $450 - $750 a month (i pay $269 for mine and its rent to own) cops make decent wages i hear up to $22 an hour, but can't be certain that my source is reliable. the prison in Lakeview, Oregon is always hiring state troopers and sheriffs. although we have next to no crime.
